ELON MUSK VOWS TO FIRE ALL OF THE ASSHOLES AT TWITTER
‘When you realize you’re the 75 percent…:’ Twitter employees seethe following Elon Musk’s vow to fire 3/4 of the company’s workforce – after the billionaire admitted he is ‘paying too much’ in $44billion deal
Elon Musk told prospective investors in his $44 billion deal to buy Twitter that he plans to get rid of three-quarters of its 7,500 workers
That would leave the company with just a skeleton crew of just over 2,000 employees, which experts say is not enough to tamp down on misinformation
Current management had already been planning to layoff a quarter of its employees after spending $1.5 billion on personnel last year
Musk has previously said that he spent too much to buy the company
A nice ploy to get those disgruntled and nervous about his takeover to quit first so he doesn’t need to pay redundancy – takes some of his takeover costs out. Probably get 2000+ jumping ship.
Because he knows current management will be financially liable for any compromised assets prior to sale. Most of the employees have already been locked out of anything they could seriously damage. And I’m sure he finds the reaction pretty funny as well.

The 7500 seem to ignore their own policies on a daily basis so maybe get rid of them and get some who know what they’re doing. Misinformation from both ends of the spectrum is ridiculous.

At least when they were all in one place, you knew to avoid it. They will be spread out now. No doubt there are talks of starting their own social media companies. Musk is right; that share price was extremely inflated. I used Twitter for one month and it was obvious there is an issue with bots and a large number of inactive/multiple accounts. Twitter is a much smaller community than people realize.
He’s worth over $200B…do you think he’s really worried about going broke? I’m fairly certain he’d get by just fine even if he only ends up with $1B to his name in 20 years.
Go woke, go broke. Time to cancel the cancel culture. Currently… Rather than have a platform of fairness, without bias… Twitter support is worthless. They certainly have bias. So sick of woke snowflakes.

Plenty of room for improvements after the obstacles are fired.
So Elmo, the Gandalf of inc els, wants to turn it into another failing joke like Trump’s latest s ca m ‘truth’ social? Yes, but mostly he wants the stock price to fall. Elmo couldn’t care less about your rights or what you think. Like Trump, Elmo is all for Elmo

As for free speech, here it is in a nutshell, red hats: The First Amendment ONLY prevents GOVERNMENT restrictions on speech. It DOES NOT prevent restrictions on speech imposed by private individuals or businesses. Facebook, Twitter and other social media can regulate or restrict speech hosted on their platforms because they are PRIVATE entities.

Not exactly. A phone company cannot restrict your speech on a phone call even though it is a private company. Zoom cannot tell you what you can say in your zoom meeting even though it is a private company. A restaurant cannot say, for instance, that people with red hair cannot eat there, even though it is privately owned. Not so simple.

Not only should he fire those 5,500 Woke lunatics he should have a lottery where 5,500 strangers donate to charity to win the honor of being able to call up a Wokie and fire them. YOU and ME could actually experience the JOY of personally FIRING these worthless animals. Now that would set the cat amongst the pigeons. Let the PUBLIC fire them.
Forgone They sobbed in their iced lates, curled in a ball in the office safe space and had to go home early because of their perceived emotional trauma. Why? The new owner will make them actually have to work.
Got to love it when they simplify complicated issues. God forbid we should be look at things with a critical eye, eh? Takes too much effort?

Hi MAGAs, i am sorry that being confronted with the truth triggers you so! I understand that you are no longer capable of making decisions for yourself and I have pity.
Twitter isn’t a monopoly. Why can’t Twitter and Facebook stay their alleged left leaning selves and keep their ‘narratives’ by banning the right….while parlor and truth keep their alleged right leaning views while stifling left leaning narratives? I don’t understand the ire. Every channel or company has their leanings.
Twitter became a working arm of the federal government silencing a particular political party. That’s the classical definition of fascism. And it’s against the US Constitution 1st Amendment.
All of the employees tweeting the fear of losing their jobs.. curious.. are you fearful because youve been quiet quitting your whole career and suddenly realize it didnt go unnoticed?
Good cull all those b’ar’sta’rds. Many were very hardline and accepting of ba’nning accounts and deleting Twitter posts arbitrarily so give them a taste of their own medicine and get rid of them.

LOL while TSLA is tanking. I said it would drop below $600 and now we are nearly at $200. This guy —–s everyone around him. His luck has run out. This claim to buy Twitter was a dumb move. He was publically airing the deal, signed a contract and then texts show he was already developing some scheme to back out of it and then came up with the bot issue. It would have been cheaper for him to develop his own platform and try to grow it from there but greed got the best of him. Why not just buy a platform with billions of users already. They would have no choice. Well, now he has no choice. He likely signed an iron clad agreement and he knows there is no way out of it. What a moron.
As an unsophisticated deplorable I enjoy adverse speech. That’s why I didn’t go to Gab, Parler or Truth Social. The sophisticated soy snowflakes on the other hand go apoplectic hearing any opposing point of view.

Another billionaire with almost zero philanthropy under his name. Thats America
Seriously, $44 million just maybe, nowhere close to worth than in millions. Even Facebook which has much more depth as a social network isn’t worth $44 billion.
1.5 mill! In a year for staff? How? Just…how? No wonder there’s a fire sale throwing down on S valley. I wonder how much the combined total of all the secret service compares to that mess. If you’re paying that much for help, it would be almost impossible to keep track of who’s being productive and who’s not. Probably why he cleaned the slate. Take too long to sort em out.
He could probably fire 80% and get a lot more work done.

Most are useless liberals who hate this country, God, the military, the police and laws that govern society. So, there is really no loss to the company.
Hes buying twitter ALONG WITH the help of Saudi and China all while suddenly backing Putin and threatening to take Star Link from Ukraine. Ummm HELLO? Like seriously HELLOOO??
These people obviously dont follow current events. I dont think Musk is worried about tamping down misinformation. He is in favor of actual free speech. The tech people who actually make the company run will be fine. As for the social warriors, I guess Starbucks will have a lot new baristas.
Who decides what’s misinformation and what’s not? Yeah, fire the fact checkers and bring back common sense to people, make them research for the truth.
Twitter should only have enough employees to keep the servers running. If you’re worried about misinformation then the entire internet should be shut down…

Haha *experts say is not enough to tamp down on misinformation*. Those *misinformation experts* think the wrong opinion is misinformation. The best thing Elon can do is get rid of the Orwellian brown shirts.
Twitter is the bathroom wall of the internet – people scrawl random musings with no accountability on the walls – only reason to have an account was to see who Trump was trolling and have a laugh – then they ruined that.
He just wants the wokes to quit now so he doesn’t have to play unemployment benefits. The woke workers aren’t so smart, so they probably will quit, the best for all.
It’s HIS soon to be PRIVATE company. He can do with it whatever he wants including firing 75% of current Twitter employees and replacing them with some of the vastly superior software engineers already at his disposal.
Musk should probably need some tax losses. Just in time to take a loss on Twitter! But this means Jack Dorsey was playing fast & loose with the public so that explains how he foisted Joe Biden on us!
